These are the 34 Points of Faith which summarize our beliefs:
Faith
Point #1: We believe in
the supreme and eternal God (YHVH), known in the different nations as Yahwe o Jehovah, who is the eternal Father and Creator of all the universe (Hebrews 1:1-2; 1 Corinthians 8:6)
Faith
Point #2: We believe in
the only begotten son of God (Yahshua), known in the
nations as Jesus Christ. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is
the Messiah sent by our God as Redeemer and Savior of the World, so that all
those who believe in him do not perish, but gain eternal life (John 3:16; John
17:3)
Faith
Point #3: We believe in
the Holy Spirit, that has always existed, which comes from the Father. He is
the Comforter promised by our Lord Jesus Christ, He is the spirit that guides
us to all divine truth. His
manifestation lives in the heart of the believers through love, joy, peace,
tolerance, kindliness, kindness, faith, meekness and temperance. (Genesis 1:2; John 15:26)
Faith
Point #4: We believe that
the Holy Spirit does not manifest itself in disorderly conduct caused by
psychic suggestions of personal or collective nature, such as false visions,
false apparitions, or physical convulsions.
Point
of Faith #5: We believe
that the Holy Scriptures, its compilation known currently as Holy Bible, Old
and New Testament, contains the complete Word of God. It was written by the servants of the Most
High, inspired by the Holy Spirit. Its
teachings are infallible, and contains the will and revelation of God to
man.
Comment: The rest of the point of faith in
Spanish states that the official version of the Bible to be used is the
“Antigua Version, Casiodoro de Reina (1569), revised
by Cipriano de Valera in 1602” (the oldest functional
version is the 1909 version). The
ministry needs to officially state the version to be used in other languages,
such as English, or officially state that the oldest functional version of a
language is the version to be used. In
English, it would be the King James Authorized version.
Point
of Faith #6: We believe
that the Ten Commandments is the eternal constitution
which God gave to humankind with the purpose of having every believer practice
them for their family’s and social well-being.
It is recognized that only God’s Congregation spread throughout the
world will be able to keep them. They
consist of the following:
Point
of Faith #7: We believe
that in the fourth of the aforementioned Ten Commandments, God establishes the
observance of the Seventh Day of the week, commonly called Saturday, in which
the congregation of God must rest and keep it holy throughout the world so to bestow
honor, glory and praise to our God, as a memorial of his wonderful
creation. Therefore, it is and will be
the sign between God and his children (Genesis 2:1-3; Matthew 12:12; Exodus
20:8-11)
Point
of Faith #8: We believe that God created the great lights,
such as the sun and the moon, to separate day from night, and so that they be
signs for the seasons, days, and years, teaching that God gave to humanity to
measure time. The solar year has only
12 months, and it is ruled by the four seasons, which are Spring,
Summer, Autumn, and Winter, which fulfill a cycle of approximately 365 days. We recognize that the beginning of the holy
year begins with the coming of Spring, thus the Creator of the Universe named
the first month of the year as Aviv, which means Spring (Exodus 12:2, Exodus
13:4, 1 Kings 4:7, Revelation 22:2)
Point
of Faith #9: We believe that the Eternal God instituted
three great yearly feasts of religious nature with prophetic messages; these
are: Passover (Unleavened Bread), Pentecost (Weeks), and Booths (Tabernacles). They shall be observed by his children as a
statute forever. These are Holy
convocations, and come to be a signal to recognize the true believers of God
(Leviticus 23:4-21, Deuteronomy 16:16, Exodus 24:23)
Point
of Faith #10: We believe that the Passover is a memorial of
the death of Christ and shall be observed annually in the time that Christ
died. We will continue to celebrate this
feast until Christ comes. During the
celebration of this feast, unleavened bread and grape wine shall be used just
like Christ did the night in which he instituted it, teaching us that the bread
is the symbol of his body and the wine a symbol of his blood (1 Corinthians
5:7-8; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)
Point
of Faith #11: We believe that with the death of our Lord
Jesus Christ, his blood was shed for the remission of our sins, taking away all
types of rituals and customs relevant to sacrifices and holocausts of
animals (Hebrews 10:4-10, Colosians 2:14, Ephesians 2:12).
Point
of Faith #12: We believe that the washing of feet is a
teaching given by Jesus Christ to his disciples and thus to all believers of
his doctrine. This act must take place
before taking part in the symbolic bread and wine in the Passover (John 13:17).
Point of Faith #13: We believe that God, our Heavenly Father,
gives us nutritional laws to maintain the physical and mental health of our
body. Exhorting us to not eat unclean animals such as pigs, birds of
prey, as well as fish that lack scales and fins and other animals described in
the book of Leviticus. (Leviticus 11:1-47).
Point of Faith #14: We believe that marriage is a sacred
institution established by God for the man and the woman and recognized by the
civil and moral laws. All couples will be presented by the minister before God to
impart the blessing and to unite them in holy matrimony (Genesis 2:21-24;
Matthew 19:1-6). The marriage will only be dissolved in the event of adultery.
We do not accept the practice of free union.
Point of Faith #15: We believe that all faithful couples, after
having a first-born child, he or she will be presented in the temple by the
minister in thanks and in obedience to the spirit of his commandment and thus
receive the blessing of the Eternal God. If male he will be presented in 40
days, if female, she will be presented in 80 days. An example of this law was
done by Jesus when being presented by his mother Mary in the temple (Luke
2:22-23; Leviticus 12:2-6; Exodus 13:2)
Point of Faith #16: We believe in the laws of legal impurity that
God established for man and woman, which exist in the menstrual cycle, in
the woman's purification after the childbirth, in marital relations and the
spill of semen. These are states in which the believer must abstain from going
to the temple keeping this way the established corporal hygiene for the
children of God as a commandment. (Leviticus 15)
Point of Faith
#17: We believe in the corporal
impurity that exists in a believer upon having contact or when attending a
funeral with friend or relative. Therefore he/she will abstain from attending
the ecclesiastical services while carrying out with the cleansing requirements,
with due corporal hygiene and of clothing in the time appointed by this law.
Point of Faith
#18: We believe that the
baptism is part of the believer's salvation. It is the only and true act of
repentance. It shall be carried out in state of mature conscience, for
immersion in living waters, symbolizing the burial of our old way of living in
sin, rising again to a new life free of sin in Christ. This act should be made
in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, so to obtain forgiveness
of all sins. This pact converts the believer into a child of God. (Matthew
16:16; John 3:1-8; Romans 6:1-13)
Point of Faith
#19: We believe that our Lord
Jesus Christ was born in the month commonly called October and died in the
month of April, in the time in which the law orders to immolate the Passover
lambs, that is to say, the 14 of Aviv in between the two afternoons, since
Christ was the lamb of God that was sacrificed for us all (Matthew 27:46-50;
Exodus 12:6)
Point of Faith
#20: We believe that the Spirit
of the Bible, prophetically teaches that Jesus Christ our Lord was crucified in
the day commonly called Wednesday and that he lay in the tomb three days and
three nights, rising in the final part of
Saturday or seventh day of the week (Matthew 12:39-40; 1 Corinthians
15:3-4; Matthew 28:1-8)
Point of Faith
#21: We believe in the second
coming of Christ, of which no one knows the day or the hour but God our Father.
When kingdom comes, it will be established on the earth. Those redeemed will
reign with Him over the earth for a thousand year period. During this time, the
Gospel will no longer be preached. At the end of the millenial
Kingdom, when he has laid his enemies under his feet, Christ hand over the Kingdom
to God (Revelation 20:4-9; 1 Corinthians 15:24-28).
Point of Faith
#22: We believe that there will
be resurrection of the righteous and unjust, some for eternal life and the
others for perpetual damnation. The righteous that are dead in Christ Jesus,
will rise first to the coming of the Lord and together with the transformed
righteous will be caught up in the clouds to receive the Messiah in the air,
while the unjust will arise after the millenial
Kingdom (John 5:28-29; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
Point
of Faith #23: We believe that all believers must wear their
clothes in a comely way (moral, with honesty).
Women must also wear a veil covering the head when praying or when
speaking about the word of God, in a sign of obedience and reverence to Jesus Christ
(1 Corintios 11:3-10).
Point
of Faith #24: We believe that all pastors or ministers must
be male. It is not allowed for women to
attain these positions, but is allowed to provide support in the congregation
as deaconesses (1. Timothy 2:9-15).
Point
of Faith #25: We believe that superior authorities (as governments)
of the nation are allowed by God, thus we teach all citizens and members of the
congregation that we should respect them.
Point
of Faith #26: We believe that in order to worship God it is
not necessary to see a representation or physical image of Him, nor of any other
(saint) because God is Spirit therefore we worship him in spirit and truth
(Exodus 20:1-5, John 4:24). Punto
de Fé #26: Creemos que para adorar a Dios no es necesario ver una
representación o imagen fisica de El, ni de cualquier otro idolo, porque Dios
es espiritu y por lo tanto lo adoramos en Espiritu y en verdad (Exodo 20:1-5;
Juan 4:24)
Point
of Faith #27: We believe that we should only kneel before
the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Point
of Faith #28: We believe there is only one mediator between
God and men, and we only pray to God in the name of that mediator, who is
Christ.
Point
of Faith #29: We believe that medical science has been
allowed by God for the benefit of the corporal and mental health of man. We accept blood transfusions and donations;
our belief does not oppose the benefits that modern scientific medicine offers. In the same manner, it is the free will of
the believer to receive or donate any organs for the benefit of his neighbor,
brethren in the faith of Christ, or himself/herself (Proverbs 22:12)
Point
of Faith #30: We believe
that the life of all human beings begins at conception. We know that the practice of abortion goes
against the thoughts of God because it denies the right of life (Exodus 20:13).
Point
of Faith #31: We believe that all practices of Satanic
nature, spiritism, witchcraft, and of the occult are
rejected and prohibited by God, and so is taking part in consultations of,
inquiries from, or requiring the services of anyone performing such practices (Deuteronomy
18:10-12).
Point
of Faith #32: We believe
that the children of God should reject all types of drugs or substances that
lead to addiction, since these harm one’s mental and corporal health (Daniel
6:4).
Point
of Faith #33: We believe
that the congregation of God must not have preference of persons or show
“respect of persons” (James 2:5); there should be no discrimination based on
color, belief, or economic standing.
Point
of Faith #34: We believe
that the true congregation of God is that which keeps the commandments of God
and keeps the faith of Jesus our Savior (Revelation 14:12; Revelation 12:17)
